Neglect First Principles At Your Own Peril

Railway Transportation:
There are underlying problems in Nigeria that stand in the way of efficient railway transportation systems. We need reliable and affordable electricity. We need home-based scientists and engineers who can build and mantain trains, cabs, engines and whatnot. We need a solid culture of constant and continuous improvement. Greed, bribery and corruption have to be greatly reduced...

In my opinion, our problems are deep-rooted. The enabling environment for Nigerians to tap into their creative imagination to create, invent and maintain technological products is below par...

We cannot have sustainable transportation systems: land, air or sea if we neglect first principles. A country that does not take inventions and innovations in Science and Technology as a major priority will always lag behind.

Invest Heavily in Science & Technology

This "water bicycle" was developed by a Nigerian, Anthony Orowho, a.k.a. Scientist Morison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVxWeais4lM

...To grow our economy, we have to invest heavily in Science & Technology. INVENTORS need to be supported. Angel investors are needed. The Trademark and Patent Office has to be brought to world-class level. Nigerians should learn to patronize "Made in Nigeria" goods. To gain relevance and enjoy prosperity, we must be a producing (manufacturing) society and not just a consuming society. Let us bring pressure to bear on the Government! #WakeUpNigeria #NigeriaBeyondOil #Progress

The ministry of Science and Technology has to invest heavily in the various Technology Incubation Centers in the country. ...The perception of the general public towards inventors and innovators should be one that encourages and celebrates inventive efforts. All hands should be on deck. This is how we move Nigeria forward. #Unity #Faith #Peace #Progress

Computer Security Tips

Computer Security Tips

Look out for HTTPS:
It’s not safe to send private information over http because others could read it. Look out for HTTPS and not HTTP. If a site requests private information over http, it’s either poorly developed or it has malicious content. If you get an SSL certificate warning, it’s a sign of a security problem. Don’t just click through. The safest option is to leave the site.

Managing your Internet browser’s security and privacy:
(a)    Clear your browser history.
(b)   Don’t store passwords in your browser.
(c)    Clear your cache and cookies after signing out of an account that holds private information.

Protect yourself from Internet crime:
(a)    Sign off web accounts. As soon as you’re done, end your session.
(b)   Don’t store passwords in your browser or on websites. Passwords stored this way can be vulnerable to theft.
(c)    Don’t browse while signed into accounts. Before signing into an account that holds private information, such as a corporate network or bank account, close all other browser windows and tabs.

On Ebola Virus

#Ebola has been around for many years... Some African countries are paying dearly for not placing a high priority on research, inventions and innovations in Science & Technology. We need Local Government Chairmen, Governors, Lawmakers and Presidents who have a very clear understanding and passion for this very important department. We need "Angel Investors" who have the foresight to promote capital investments in Science & Technology. We need millionaires like M.K.O. Abiola who would give to educational institutions. We need a well-informed and sensitized general public.

Nigeria is successfully tackling the #Ebola dilemma. Great effort! Now we must invest more in research in Science and Technology. This will help us a lot in combating any future virus. This task must not be left to the govt alone. Wealthy individuals and companies must pitch in. Scientists and Technologists must be discovered, inspired and rewarded.

No Excuse

Some people give all kinds of excuses for not being creative, inventive or innovative. ...like: "I don't have time to think; to invent or innovate. I'm struggling to make ends meet." And my reaction is, "But I thought NECESSITY is the mother of invention! You are in a, "NECESSITY STATE" - all the more reason to create, invent, innovate, "THINK DIFFERENT" and add value to lives, generate great income, etc."

...and there are those who are not even in a dire, "NECESSITY STATE" and would not tap into their creative imagination. This, really, is what makes the difference between rich countries and poor countries. This is one of the key elements that sets countries apart - the successful ones from the failing ones…

What path are we going to choose TODAY? #Invent

Science & Technology: I continue to advocate for a great support for inventors and innovators. This small global village would be the better for it. A country has to innovate/invent or suffer the consequences... What path are we going to choose TODAY? #Invent
